Conditions of Use

These Conditions of Use are an agreement between you and Three Dollar Easy Traffic School, a California Traffic Violator School applicant pending California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) approval. They describe the terms that govern access to this website, review of the online Traffic Violator School course preview, and use of the materials provided through the site.

Note: By creating a student account, enrolling in a course, submitting payment, or otherwise using this site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Conditions of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Conditions of Use, together with the Privacy Policy and the Accessibility Statement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Three Dollar Easy Traffic School with respect to your use of the site and the course preview. By accessing the site or enrolling in a course after approval is issued, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract, and that your use of the course will comply with all applicable California and federal law, including the California Vehicle Code and Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations.

2. Authorized Use

The online course preview offered at this site is pending California DMV approval as a Traffic Violator School (TVS) course. Official enrollment and completion reporting will begin only after DMV approval and TVCC access are complete. After approval, the course is intended solely for individuals who have been referred to traffic school by a California court of competent jurisdiction, or who are otherwise eligible to take a TVS course under California Vehicle Code §1808.7.

3. Account Registration and Security

To enroll in the course, you must create a student account and provide accurate information, including your full legal name, California driver license number, citation number, issuing court, date of birth, and a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the account information and for notifying us promptly of any change.

4. Prohibited Conduct

The integrity of the Traffic Violator School program depends on the direct participation of the enrolled student. The following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension of your account, forfeiture of fees paid, invalidation of the certificate of completion, and reporting to the California DMV and the citing court.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this section, to suspend or terminate offending accounts, to reverse fees, and to cooperate fully with law enforcement, the DMV, and the citing court.

5. Course Completion Requirements

Completion of the course is governed by California Vehicle Code §11208 and California Code of Regulations Title 13 §345.40 and related provisions. To receive a certificate of completion, each student must:

  1. Complete all required instructional content specified in the DMV Outline of Required Topics and Standards for an Approved TVS Course (Form OL 613).
  2. Correctly answer the personal validation questions (PVQs) presented periodically throughout the course for the purpose of identity verification.
  3. Pass the final examination by answering at least 18 of the 25 multiple-choice questions correctly (a minimum score of 72%), consistent with the standards adopted by the DMV in Form OL 767.
  4. Complete the course within the period set by the citing court, or within one year of enrollment if no shorter deadline has been set.

Official completion reporting through the DMV Traffic Violator Course Completion (TVCC) database will begin only after California DMV approval and TVCC access are complete. Until then, any certificate or completion screen generated by the site is for review or demonstration only and is not a court-reportable TVS completion.

6. Fees and Payment

Course fees are disclosed on the enrollment page at the time of checkout. All fees are charged in United States dollars and are collected through a PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe, Inc.). The fee charged by this school is for the course of instruction only; the court administrative fee and the underlying citation fine are assessed and collected separately by the court.

Two payment options are available:

7. Refund Policy

A full refund of the course fee is available upon request for any reason within 30 days of the date of purchase, provided that an official certificate of completion has not yet been issued and submitted through TVCC. Refund requests submitted after a certificate has been issued, or after the 30-day period has ended, may be granted only in cases of documented error (for example, duplicate payment or a technical failure that prevented course access) at the discretion of the school.

8. Intellectual Property

All course content, including text, graphics, interactive exercises, quiz and examination items, audio, video, and downloadable materials, is the property of Three Dollar Easy Traffic School or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and trade secret law. Use of the content is limited to personal, non-commercial use in connection with your own enrollment in the course. Any other use requires the prior written permission of the school. Nothing in these Conditions transfers any ownership rights in the course content to you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The site and the course are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Three Dollar Easy Traffic School disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any particular result will be obtained from your use of the course. California Civil Code §1668 shall govern the enforceability of any disclaimer in these Conditions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of Three Dollar Easy Traffic School and its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Conditions, the site, or the course is limited to the total amount you paid to Three Dollar Easy Traffic School for the course in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. In no event will Three Dollar Easy Traffic School be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost goodwill, or lost data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under California law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Three Dollar Easy Traffic School and its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your breach of these Conditions, (b) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, (c) the inaccuracy of any information you provide at enrollment, or (d) any misuse of the course or the certificate of completion issued to you.

12. Termination

Three Dollar Easy Traffic School may suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if we determine in our reasonable discretion that you have violated these Conditions, that your enrollment is fraudulent or ineligible, or that your continued access presents a risk to the integrity of the course or to other students. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred before termination, and the provisions of Sections 8 through 14 survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Venue

These Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The federal and state courts located in Ventura County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any action arising out of or relating to these Conditions, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

14. Modifications to Terms

Three Dollar Easy Traffic School may revise these Conditions from time to time. When we make a material change, we will post the revised Conditions on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes take effect 30 days after posting. Your continued use of the site after the effective date of a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Conditions. If you do not agree to a revision, you must discontinue use of the site and, if eligible, may request a refund under Section 7.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Conditions is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. A waiver of any breach of these Conditions is not a waiver of any subsequent breach.

16. Assignment

You may not assign these Conditions or any rights or obligations under them without the prior written consent of Three Dollar Easy Traffic School. Three Dollar Easy Traffic School may assign these Conditions to any successor in interest by operation of law or otherwise, without notice.

17. Relationship to DMV
